Happy Tears Mural

The Happy Tears Mural was painted to communicate the ambiguity of each circumstance life presents. Stylistic direction of the art follows heavy influences of Japanese art and pop culture. Derrik used premium heavy body acrylics and Behr wall paints to bring the mural to life over the span of 2 days.

SIMPLINUTRITIOUS MURAL

This piece was created for a client who wanted a mural that represented their restaurant's healthy food choices and core company values. The client had asked for a more "street-style, graffiti" feel to the piece, with pops of the brand's colors.  Materials used include Black Velspar Primer and premium heavy body acrylics.  Completion time for the mural was approximately 4 days.

This piece was requested by the Bixby Knolls Improvement Association for the Art Expo Center in Long Beach to bring a lively and joyful feel to the space. Time for completion was approximately 4 days, and materials used were Valspar Primer and premium heavy body acrylics.

33RD DISTRICT SENATOR'S OFFICE FOR LENA GONZALEZ - COLLABORATION PROJECT

Representing the diversity and community, 10 artists came together to collaborate on a piece for Senator Lena Gonzalez's office in Long Beach. Each letter represents a different perspective of the community in the local area and delivers a different message.
